Quantitative NMR (qNMR)

Explaining the internal standard method, external standard method, and considerations to keep in mind step by step!

The document includes the quantification of organic compounds and discusses internal and external standard methods. Quantitative NMR (qNMR) has become an efficient tool for quantifying organic compounds, and its use has been expanding in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries in recent years. Generally, proton NMR is used, but when considering the introduction of qNMR in new fields such as metabolomics, biomarker discovery, and physiological pathways, the presence of more complex molecules and systems makes the use of 1H-qNMR challenging. In such cases, using other NMR-active nuclei, namely 31P or 19F, may be a better option. [Contents (excerpt)] ■ Quantification of organic compounds ■ Internal and external standard methods ■ Considerations to take step by step *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Analysis Case] C0677

Detailed analysis of molecular structures is possible through the combination of NMR measurements and calculations.

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analysis is a method used for structural analysis of organic compounds. NMR spectra are influenced by the spins of the atomic nuclei that make up the compound, and this influence is represented by the spin coupling constant. By evaluating this spin coupling constant, it becomes possible to identify compounds with complex structures or novel compounds. This document presents a case study analyzing the stereoconformation of fluorinated compounds based on a comparison between measured values of spin coupling constants and calculated values from quantum chemical calculations. Energy calculations of the conformations also allow for a comparison of stability. Measurement methods: Computational science, AI, data analysis, NMR Product field: Pharmaceuticals Analysis purpose: Evaluation of chemical bonding states, structural evaluation For more details, please download the document or contact us.

[Analysis Case] NMR - Spectrum Separation of Mixed Samples Using Filters

You can analyze the structure of mixed samples using NMR without performing isolation and purification!

We will introduce a technique that emphasizes the signals of polymers or small molecules using a measurement method that utilizes the differences in relaxation times or diffusion coefficients of each component in a mixed sample. When electromagnetic waves are irradiated onto atomic nuclei in a static magnetic field, they absorb energy corresponding to the energy difference ΔE and enter an excited state (nuclear magnetic resonance). When the irradiation of electromagnetic waves is stopped, the process of returning to the original state is called relaxation, and the relaxation time is the time required for this process. The relaxation time is closely related to the mobility of the molecules. [Analysis Case] NMR - Spectrum Separation of Mixed Samples Using DOSY Method

You can analyze the structure of mixed samples using NMR without performing isolation and purification!

We would like to introduce our spectral separation technology using the DOSY method. In NMR, when performing structural analysis of each component in a mixed sample, each component is typically isolated and purified before measurement. The DOSY method allows for the separation of spectra for each component by utilizing the differences in diffusion rates, enabling structural analysis of each component in a mixed sample without the need for isolation and purification. 【Features】 - Effective for measuring samples where physical separation by molecular weight is difficult - Effective for measuring samples that undergo structural changes during pretreatment (e.g., samples in the biochemical field such as proteins) - Facilitates structural analysis of each component by separating mixed spectra of multiple components - Provides insights into the mobility of molecules of each component in the mixture *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Technical Data: Application of TD-NMR in the Food Sector

We will provide a detailed introduction to the features, performance, and application examples of TD-NMR "minispec," which is widely used in the food sector.

The bench-top time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance (TD-NMR) device "minispec" is a magnetic resonance instrument that observes relaxation times, primarily measuring protons, but it can also optionally observe elements like fluorine. It is widely used in quality control and quality assurance due to its non-destructive measurement capabilities. Quantification of additives and crosslinking degree is possible due to differences in relaxation times, allowing for monitoring of changes in physical properties and phase transitions. Additionally, it can be used to determine diffusion coefficients and the particle size distribution of water and oil. In the section "Applications of TD-NMR in the Food Industry," we introduce the features and performance of the TD-NMR device minispec, along with application examples in various fields, options, and a lineup of series products. Application examples include measurements of SFC (solid-phase oil content), moisture and oil content measurements, moisture and oil content measurement protocols, and accuracy measurements. [Analysis Case] Structural Analysis of Natural Products

Introduction of a case where the correlation of 13C-13C could be directly observed through inadequate measurement of 13C-13C!

The 13C-13C INADEQUATE measurement is a method that directly observes the correlation between 13C atoms, providing the advantage of revealing connections between carbon atoms that are not bonded to hydrogen. However, due to the natural abundance of 13C being approximately 1%, the probability of one 13C atom being bonded to another 13C atom is about 0.01%, which presents the drawback of requiring many samples and a long measurement time. Here, we present an example of measuring the natural product andrographolide using a 700MHz NMR with a cryoprobe. 【Case Overview】 ■ Analysis Sample - Andrographolide (heavy dimethyl sulfoxide solution, concentration 100mM) ■ Analysis Equipment - 700MHz NMR with cryoprobe (Bruker AVANCE NEO 700, integration time 24 hours) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Optimization of Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Costs through Electrode Slurry Analysis

Using the Bruker minispec! Magnetic resonance for battery research and manufacturing.

This document explains the optimization of lithium-ion battery manufacturing costs through the analysis of electrode slurries using the Bruker minispec. It includes monitoring the stability of slurries against sedimentation using the Bruker minispec, as well as the evaluation of the physical properties of slurries using TD-NMR. We describe how manufacturers can optimize the coating process for lithium-ion batteries, so please take a moment to read it. 【Contents】 ■ Introduction ■ Monitoring the stability of slurries against sedimentation using the Bruker minispec ■ Evaluation of the physical properties of slurries using TD-NMR ■ Conclusion ■ References *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Academic research tabletop NMR "Fourier 80"

We will pass on workflows and techniques from tabletop NMR to high-field NMR.

The "Fourier 80" is a tabletop NMR that does not require deuterated solvents due to external locking. Students can actually experience the power of NMR and learn basic chemical concepts. It can be used for confirming synthetic products, analyzing fatty acids in edible oils, observing oxygen reactions, and measuring pH. 【Features】 ■ Fourier EduLab: A teaching package that includes recommended experiments and guidance on spectrum interpretation ■ User-friendly GoScan software ■ Operated with industry-standard TopSpin software used in Bruker's high-field NMR ■ Select standard (default) pulse programs from the library to conduct 1D & 2D NMR measurements ■ Low maintenance costs and seamless integration: no new infrastructure required *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
